I trusted Jacky Ho from Connor Hunter Law Firm to be my conveniencer during house purchasing process. On the last day of the finance condition, he couldn’t reach the seller’s lawyer or confirm my finance approval in time. The bank had provided finance confirmation from 11am, but it wasn’t sent to the seller’s side before the 5pm deadline. I was told it may have been due to an email not being sent or maybe it didn't leave the mailbox. Picking up the phone and calling to confirm receival obviously was not an option. The seller then terminated the contract, put house back on the matket and increased the purchase price by about $50,000. Good news is that Connor Hunter offered me 50% off my next conveyancing. But I'd rather pay full price somewhere else.
