I cannot thank Brittany and the team enough for their professionalism, kindness, and support throughout the entire process. Brittany made an incredibly stressful chapter of my life feel manageable and far less overwhelming than I ever expected. She was compassionate, approachable, and always took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel genuinely supported and comfortable every step of the way. After some difficult experiences elsewhere, working with Brittany was honestly a breath of fresh air. Her communication, care, and dedication never went unnoticed, and I will always be grateful for how smoothly she helped me navigate everything. I highly recommend Brittany and the team to anyone looking for solicitors who are not only professional and knowledgeable, but also truly understanding and supportive. Thank you again for everything!

In Queensland, telling a client they "cannot reach out to another law firm" is not only incorrect—it is a significant red flag for professional misconduct. Under the Legal Profession Act 2007 (QLD) and the Australian Solicitors’ Conduct Rules, a client has an absolute, fundamental right to seek a second opinion or change lawyers at any time. The Truth About Her Rights in QLD Here is the reality of the situation compared to what they are likely telling her: The Right to a Second Opinion: Rule 33 of the Australian Solicitors' Conduct Rules (QLD) explicitly allows other solicitors to provide a "second opinion" to a person who is already represented. Freedom of Choice: A client is never "locked in." If she is unhappy with her representation, she can terminate their "retainer" (their contract) immediately. The "No-Contact" Rule Myth: The lawyers might be misrepresenting the "No-Contact Rule." This rule stops other lawyers from contacting her directly without her lawyer's permission, but it does not stop her from picking up the phone and calling any law firm she wants.
3 months agoNatalia is an absolute star. What was a very stressful time was made so much easier having her by my side. She always explained every option and helped me to make the best decision. Ava was also amazing. I could not thank the team at Best Wilson Buckley more. Highly recommend.
8 months agoAlecia has been amazing in talking us through our issues and sorting our family law matters. She is really knowledgable and has been kind and supportive, as well as making sure our matter was sorted quickly. She put us at ease in situations when we didn’t know what to expect and answered all questions in a way we could understand. Really happy to have her represent us.
a year agoWe had a really difficult situation having to employ family lawyers in both NZ and Australia. We were recommended Best Wilson Buckley and we chose The Lakes office. We were extremely lucky to have Samantha Chai as our Australian representative. This young lady was amazing on all accounts, the communication she gave up was first class, her understanding of the international law that we needed, her compassion to help us through a very difficult time, she continually kept us up to date on the next process, her promptness at getting agreements through the courts and and child binding consents, her complete understanding of our situation. She had Sydney lawyers and NZ lawyers to deal with and her competence was amazing. Samantha kept us pretty well up to dates of cost on the way so financially she was worth every penny we were charged. Best Wilson Buckley obviously supported her throughout and I would certainly recommend this firm for Family issues. Thank you Samantha.
